The summer of 2003 will soon be an afterthought and OMAYSC has big plans for
the upcoming school year. Our annual Swim Club dance was held on Friday,
July 18th. What started out as a wonderful evening was cut a little short by
the weather, but a great time was still had by all! Our first dance
of the school year will be held on Friday, September 26. Mark this date on
the calendar as this will be a great opportunity for grades 7 and up to come
out and reacquaint ourselves and kickoff the new school year. Upcoming in
October will be our first Gym Night and we will be celebrating MANY
activities during the week of October 27-31st in honor of Red Ribbon Week. (
Look for your 2003-2004 OMAYSC Regisration packets early in September )
Like any other organization, our growth and effectiveness depends on the
addition of new ideas and volunteers. Our goal is to organize and promote
drug and alcohol free activities for the youth of our community. Our
meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30 in the Borough
Hall Caucus Room. If you are interested in volunteering or finding out more
