A MESSAGE FROM ALLEN RODESKY
The Borough of Oaklyn’s Office of Emergency Management, along
with the Oaklyn Departments of Police, Fire, Public Works, and Ambulance
Squad, has been preparing emergency plans to deal with any disaster:
Natural, Industrial, and/or Terrorist. These plans have been reviewed and
Emergency Services have been coordinating with County, State, and Federal
Agencies to ensure the procedures for implementing proper training, local
preparedness, timely and accurate communications and appropriate responses
for any Emergency.
Although there is no “specific threat” to the Borough of
Oaklyn, we are within the immediate vicinity of Philadelphia, and therefore,
everyone is encouraged to be vigilant within their own neighborhoods and
immediately report suspicious activities, packages, persons and/or vehicles
to the Oaklyn Police Department. Information is shared daily between local,
County, State, and Federal Law Enforcements Agencies to keep up-to-date all
of those responsible for preparing for localized responses.
